The Easy Life

A few months ago, my mother came home holding a little angel in her arms. Well, not literally an angel but a little puppy. She was so puny, inactive and sleepy at that time. I didn't even think she was still breathing while my mom set her down on the floor and I lay down on the floor, looking at her to see if she was still alive. Luckily, she still was. And lucky for us, she's still alive as of now and she just turned 5 months old!

Her name is Mochi. I named her after the Japanese dessert since our old pup (that died--RIP) was named Cheese, after my favorite dairy product.

Let's just say that I love my little Mochi and little Mochi loves SLEEP. Yes, you read that right. She really loves to sleep. Especially now that I'm watching over her because I have no classes, I can really see how amazingly good she is at sleeping and being very very active afterwards.

She just really loves to spend some time with people and her co-shi tzu cousin, Chewy, my cousins' little pup. She visits from time to time so they get to spend a lot of time with each other. And just as I am still on the topic of talking about dogs, I have realized something--Dogs are much better people than people themselves.

They may not talk, they may not say how much they love us but they are good as hell in showing it without even saying it. Plus the fact that they really show their compassion and love for the things that make them happy by marking them with their saliva (ew but aw).

They are also stress-relievers. Proven and tested. So if you want the easy life? Go for a dog instead of a relationship. You may need to buy them food and pick up their shit but who says an easy life is always perfect?
